What you will learn in this class
In the WordPress class, students will learn everything you need to become a great WordPress developer – including how to stay calm and solve problems when all your code unexpectedly breaks. Specific topics include:
- How to manipulate the basic interface of WordPress
- How to choose and manage a theme
- How to choose and install plugins
- Basic PHP: The language used to control servers in WordPress
- How WordPress developers operate.
What you will do in the class
Each class will start with an hour-long lecture about the day’s topic. After that, we will move into two hours doing hands-on work on your own WordPress site. At the end of the class students will have a commercially viable website, ready to present to the world!
A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the WordPress class.
Who should take this class
This class is the next logical step for anyone who has taken our website design class. However, you do not need to have taken that class to succeed at WordPress. No prior coding or computer experience is required.
